MVP Check Program
Make your trip to the dealership a breeze with our MVP program!
Apply for your Neighborhood Credit Union auto loan before you go shopping and you'll be pre-approved up to a certain limit. Then, we'll provide you with an MVP check that can be used for any amount up to that limit.1 Sign the MVP check and drive away. There are no hidden fees for this service, and you'll enjoy the same excellent low rates.
With an MVP check, there is no need to discuss financing through the dealership. Your MVP check grants you the advantages of a cash buyer, allowing you to focus the conversation on the true invoice price and negotiate the best deal.
The Process
- Get pre-approved for dollar amount of expected vehicle purchase.
- Once approved:
- We can mail the check do you directly
- You can pick up an actual MVP check at the North Dallas location
- Or we can email the eMVP check to your email to be printed at home, work, dealership, or other convenient location.
- You will receive the following: MVP Check, Truth in Lending Disclosures and Dealer Instructions.
- MVP check is a regular check, the eMVP can be printed on regular check stock. No special printing stock required.
- The Truth in Lending disclosures is for the member only to keep for their records.
- The Dealer Instructions will be given to the dealer with the fully filled out check once a vehicle is purchased.
- With the approved check about, you can negotiate the price of the vehicle with the dealership.
- The dealer will then deposit the check in their bank.
- We will contact you once the check clears to finalize the loan. (If you have had the vehicle for more than a week without contact from us it is advised to reach out to us directly so we can contact the dealership.)
- Once a Neighborhood Credit Union loan officer goes over the terms of your loan, you will receive the final loan documents needed for signature via DocuSign.
- Loan will be funded, and you can begin to make scheduled payments!

- Name(s) on the title MUST be the same as the name(s) printed on the MVP check.
- Dealer must contact the Credit Union if the vehicle is greater than 8 model years or has greater than 100k miles for NCU approval.
- Salvage, rebuilt, flood damage vehicle, or bonded titles are not accepted.
- Dealer and Borrower(s) must sign and endorse the MVP check.
- Send a copy of the Check, Purchase Order, Value, and Insurance to MVP@myncu.com or fax to 972-629-7889.
- 120% LTV including tax, title, and license fees.
- Total amount not to exceed the LTV Limit of MSRP for New or NADA Retail for Used vehicles.
- Mileage Limitation = 100k
