Anna Branch Grand Opening

Spaced six feet apart and donning masks, a handful of leaders of Neighborhood Credit Union and the Anna Chamber of Commerce gathered Tuesday for the official – albeit unusual – ribbon cutting and grand opening of Neighborhood Credit Union’s new Anna location. Another 18 people participated in the celebration virtually through Facebook Live.
“Neighborhood Credit Union is delighted to be serving our neighbors in Anna,” said Neighborhood Credit Union President and CEO Chet Kimmell. “It seems like a lifetime ago that a few dozen of us were together at this very site for the groundbreaking in October."
“Though the world has changed a lot since that sunny morning and today’s celebration only has a ‘crowd of tens,’ one thing hasn’t changed: Neighborhood Credit Union’s commitment to help people from all walks of life improve their financial footing, in good times and bad,” said Kimmell.
Francis Santana, Senior Vice President of Retail Operations & Business Development at Neighborhood Credit Union, added, “We have already felt the warm embrace of the families, businesses and leaders of Anna and are eager to get to know more of you, especially when we can once again greet each other in person!”
After acknowledging that in normal times, all the grand opening attendees would normally “pack ourselves close together in front of our new building, cut the big red ribbon, take pictures, and then go inside for refreshments and tours,” Santana welcomed Kevin Hall of the Anna Chamber of Commerce to join her and Neighborhood Credit Union President and CEO Chet Kimmell for the socially-distant ribbon cutting ceremony in front of the new building.
