Enhanced Security with Microsoft Purview Message Encryption
September 30, 2024
At Neighborhood Credit Union, the security of your personal information is our top priority. To further protect your sensitive data, we’re excited to announce that as of October 2, 2024, we will be sending secure emails using Microsoft Purview Message Encryption.
Secure emails are considered those that contain sensitive personal information, where encryption software is used to protect the content of the message from being viewed or modified by those other than the intended recipient.
What is Microsoft Purview Message Encryption?
Message encryption ensures that emails containing sensitive or confidential information are protected from unauthorized access. With this technology, emails are encrypted—meaning only you and the intended recipients can view their content. This adds an extra layer of security, keeping your personal information safe and secure.
What to Expect:
- There’s no action needed from you. The secure emails you receive from us will simply have a slightly different appearance as you simply click to be taken into the secure message portal.
- If you are on the Microsoft Outlook network, you see the sent email content directly. (More information on viewing secure email via desktop, iOS, or Android.)
- You can trust that these emails are safe and legitimate, containing the same level of protection and information you’ve always received.
By using Microsoft Purview Message Encryption, we’re reinforcing our commitment to keeping your data secure. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
