Looking Forward to 2021
Published January 29, 2021
Happy New Year!
We began our new year by sharing the money that you, our members, raised to make our community a better place. In December we pledged to match $25,000 in donations to North Texas Food Bank and were able to present them with a contribution of $33,365! This will provide over 100,000 meals to our neighbors who need it most – some who are experiencing food scarcity for the first time due to the pandemic. We were very proud to donate that exceptional gift on behalf of our membership.
We also raised over $25,000 in donations to our Dallas Children’s Health hospital from our Skip A Payment campaign at the end of 2020. Neighborhood Credit Union has had a long-standing partnership with Children’s for over 25 years, and I love that our membership gives so generously to support the groundbreaking work they do in pediatric healthcare.
As January ends, I am very optimistic to what this new year will bring to our community and our credit union. We are completing several new initiatives that will bring new technology to our members. We are working harder than ever to ensure that you can do all your banking easily and securely from home. I am still telling anyone who will listen that we were the first Texas credit union to offer Zelle to our membership!
Every industry is adjusting to our new contactless way of life and we are no different. Every loan you do can be completed 100% from the comfort of your own home. We also have resources to help you find your car without wandering through car lots. Our lending team has perfected the process of closing car loan deals and will cut down the time you spend at the dealership drastically. I am very proud of our easy, completely contactless lending process.
I appreciate the opportunity to serve you and your family’s financial needs and am grateful for your continued loyalty. I hope 2021 brings you good things and that we can help you accomplish your goals, no matter how big or small. Please stay safe.
Sincerely,
Chet Kimmell
