What to Know About the Kasasa Checking Accounts Name Change
Published November 10, 2022
As of January 1, 2023, Neighborhood Credit Union will be moving away from the Kasasa network. Kasasa Cash, Kasasa Cash Back, and legacy Kasasa Tunes checking accounts will have new names and be administered directly by Neighborhood Credit Union. Account holders will not experience any other changes.
Which checking accounts are changing?
Starting in 2023, all Kasasa Cash accounts will be High Yield Checking. All Kasasa Cash Back accounts and all legacy Kasasa Tunes accounts will be Cash Back Checking.
Will anything else change with my checking account for Kasasa Cash or Kasasa Cash Back?
The only thing that you will see as different is the account name. The account number, rewards, and account perks of each account will work the same.
The Qualification Cycle, however, will now be calculated based on the full calendar month.
What if I have Kasasa Tunes?
Account numbers for legacy Kasasa Tunes account holders will remain the same, but your account will be switched over to our Cash Back Checking. Cash Back Checking account holders can earn up to $9 cash back monthly on everyday purchases! That’s an increase of $4 from the Tunes account.
Those who qualify for the $5 iTunes or Amazon account credit in December will instead receive a $5 cash deposit in January.
Do I need to do anything for this change?
After January 1, we encourage you to confirm your scheduled and recurring transfers are processing correctly and that custom account names have not been reset.
