Job Description

Supervises and directs the marketing content and creative, both textual and graphical, of Neighborhood Credit Union’s products and/or services and implements the strategic marketing and communication plans. Oversees all efforts to attract interest and retain it to convert quality leads and, eventually, members. Research marketing and communication needs and analyzes marketing trends to ensure that Neighborhood Credit Union is positioned competitively. Manages and evaluates subordinates and/or vendor partners.

  • Establishes and drives content vision, strategy, and team of Neighborhood Credit Union.
    • In conjunction with the SVP Marketing & Community Impact, oversees the development and execution of the content and creative of the marketing plans to align with the marketing strategic plan and ensure the growth and expansion of Neighborhood Credit Union’s products and services.
    • Develops a detailed plan for the creation and promotion of high-quality marketing content, including a marketing calendar consistent with long-range initiatives and budget planning.
    • Supervises the execution of the organization’s integrated marketing communication activities including website, blogs, newsletters, print, electronic, social media and direct mail outlets utilizing to maintain the credit union brand. Overseas coordination with vendors as needed.
    • Coordinates with other departments to ensure seamless integration of marketing strategies. Manages cross-departmental requests and coordinate with various teams for efficient project delivery.
  • Responsible for overseeing the brand image of Neighborhood Credit Union.
    • Ensures consistent brand presentation across all marketing materials and platforms.
    • Works with writers and artists (both internal and external) and oversees copywriting, design, layout, and production of promotional and communication materials. Reviews proofs of printed copy for conformance to brand specifications.
    • Ensures that all public relations communications align with Neighborhood Credit Union’s brand identity and goals. Oversees the monitoring of public forums, social media sites, product review sites.
  • Assumes responsibility for the organization’s internal communications.
    • Coordinates internal communications for marketing campaigns, news/events that impact the Credit Union, projects, and other initiatives ensuring they align with brand identity and goals.
      Responsible for the coordination of content and user experience of the Credit Union’s intranet.
  • Overseas digital marketing growth and brand reputation management.

    • Plans and oversees the development of unique digital marketing and website content, online lead generation, and optimization of online conversions through social media, digital marketing and an efficient digital experience. Reports accurate and actionable data about the optimization of the brand’s digital strategy and the improvement of the user experience.
    • Utilizes SEO best practices to improve online visibility and drive traffic to the credit union’s digital platforms.
    • Assists in managing search engine marketing campaigns and analyzes trends and keywords to continuously optimize program to assist in meeting online sales goals
  • Under the direction of SVP, manages the day-to-day of current and future projects/programs/products on the corporate level.
    • Represents marketing on Collab-Co working with other departments and cross-functional teams to ensure Marketing, Lending, Retail, and E-Commerce needs and goals are represented.
    • Ensures that all marketing and public relations materials comply with government rules and regulations, and that the website complies with applicable regulations. Stays up to date of changes in applicable rules and regulations.
    • Plans and executes events including annual meeting, groundbreakings, openings, and community gatherings, managing all aspects from budgeting and promotion to coordinate with stakeholders and on-site logistics.
  • Assumes supervisory and management responsibilities.
    • Fulfills management responsibilities in accordance with Neighborhood Credit Union policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
    • Interviews, trains, and coaches’ employees. Plans, assigns, and directs work.
    • Appraises performance; rewards, counsels, and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Performs such other functions that might be needed from time to time and assists others to complete tasks and work assignments.
    • Represents marketing and the credit union at appropriate events including events outside of traditional business hours (e.g., community events, YP, Cornerstone league).

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Education/Certification
    • College degree required, preferably BA or BS in Marketing, Business, Communications or similar.
  • Required Knowledge
    • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement effective people, time, project, and organizational management practices.
  • Experience Required
    • Minimum 4 years’ related experience in content and creative marketing, or an equivalent combination of
      education and experience.
    • Minimum 2 years’ managing people and partner relationships.
    • Financial institution experience marketing within organization with multiple branch locations.
    • Jack Henry/Banno website development.
    • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript.
    • Monday.com project management.
  • Skills/Abilities
    • Excellent communication and public relations skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, members, and vendors. 
    • Manage multiple, inter-disciplinary projects.
    • Ability to make decisions and take initiative to resolve problems. 
    • Ability to assist others.
    • Able to use 10-key, PC, telephone, and other related business equipment and application software and platforms.
